Our client is one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, supplying products into major retailers. Due to increased growth they are looking for a Supply Chain Planning and Demand Manager based in Northamptonshire.
This is an ideal opportunity to join an operation that is looking to drive its business forward and has grown year on year. Responsible for the medium and long term planning of the manufacturing operation, optimising stock holding and managing customer demand. Providing stable manufacturing plans that allow weekly scheduling by local planners whilst maintaining the required business customer service levels. Carry out long term capacity analysis and communicate the results with the operations team identifying future manufacturing and logistics requirements. Weekly and monthly reporting on KPI’s, working to continuously improve the planning system through the use of stock holding principles with the goal of achieving a stable Supply Chain through manufacturing and into procurement whilst stock write off risk.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a FMCG planning environment at a senior level, with proven experience of being able to interpret data. You should hold a relevant planning qualification, and will be able to make an impact to the business by improving efficiencies and systems. You should be used to managing customer demand and high levels of product change. In the long term the role will involve managing of a team.
